It is important to check your policy and see if your insurance covers RCC's (registered clinical counsellor).

Can you bill my insurance directly?

No, I will bill you and send you an invoice that you can then submit to your insurance to be reimbursed.

How long are sessions?

They are usually 1 hour in length unless we have discussed something different prior to our session. I can do 1.5 hour sessions as well.

How often must I come in?

I don't have an agenda around timing. People come as often as time and finances permit, but if you are struggling with acute conflict or acute symptoms, coming in weekly may be beneficial.

How much experience do you have?

I have over 20 years of experience working with couples, individuals and families.

Where are you located?

I am located on the east side of Vancouver.

Will you do in person and virtual sessions?

Yes, I will work with you as you need.

What are your hours?

I work Mon-Thursday from 9 am-4 pm.

What if I can't afford to pay?-

we can work out a payment schedule or a reduced rate if the situation permits.

I feel afraid to be judged or reprimanded by a therapist, how can you help me feel safer?

I am not in the business of judging others. Oftentimes people judge themselves more harshly than I ever could. We have all struggled and coped in ways that we are not proud of, even therapists! My goal is to make you feel understood, respected and normal. We are all humans navigating impossible situations with no previous experience. Its ok. We are all works in progress.

What if I need to cancel my apt?

If you can give me 24 hours notice, then there is no charge for cancelled apt. For missed appointments, I do charge full fee and for less than 24 hours notice, I will work on a case by case basis. Sometimes life happens, I understand that.

When do I need to pay for my apt?

You can pay prior to the apt or you can wait for me to send my invoice and pay then. This is usually done at the end of each week. Please communicate your needs to me and we can work together to make therapy manageable for you.
